Life of the Minister

My Masters of Ministry Class started again this week. I will be blogging highlights and tweeting quotes and words @tonileeadamson.

Here was one of the opening statements of today:

Live like you are going to die tomorrow but treat your body like you will live to 100.

This is a challenge and an invitation.

I have heard this same thing in a different way, “If you kill the horse, the message will not get out.” We have to take care of our bodies in order to protect the longevity of the calling God has granted to us. We are stewards to more gifts than money. If you hurt your body, your ministry might be limited by lack of energy or ability to travel. I agree. Take care of yourself for your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16)

In addition, I am also thankful for social media and the internet. There is no limit to what God can do with the online platform and the audience who clicks on to it daily. Yes, the internet can be used for good or evil. Let’s begin to overshadow the evil with good by posting the things of God. Again, this online world is another gift from God for this day and age. Today is the day of Salvation. Are we living like it? Sharing about it? Dying for it?
