The one thing you need to know about us is this…it’s our relationship with the Lord that gets us up each and every morning. We love the thought of waking up every morning knowing that we are in God’s presence.
In many down-to-earth ways, it’s our relationship with Him and His constant presence with us that drives everything else we do in the course of the day. Not only in the obvious ways—like when we sit down for some devotion or study time, but when we’re in the car or with our kids or husbands or shopping for groceries. Having an awareness of His constant presence shapes and flavors everything we do.
We had studied the Bible on our own for years, long before we got together to start Daily Disciples. We noticed that although many women knew they needed to experience salvation through Jesus Christ, they really had no idea they could experience His presence, encouragement, and leading every day. We were frustrated as we looked around because we really couldn’t find a good tool that could help women learn how to apply the Word of God themselves to their daily lives.
We had been prayer partners before but decided to work together on a study that would help people find answers in Scripture for their own lives. As we began to share our new Bible studies with others, we found that lives were changing. In many cases for the first time, people were getting answers to questions that they would carry with them for a long time. And that got us excited about making these studies available to many more people. In time, not only were the studies made available, but we also began to put our teachings on line on our website. This gave those who could not attend in person the opportunity to follow along with us as we went through a Bible study. Now, we have the blessing of offering videos of the current studies, on line and for purchase. The entire set is available for churches and small groups to use as applicable for their environment.
From Bible studies to on line resources to a daily radio program, Daily Disciples keeps growing in ways to reach out and help others. We hold regular prayer meetings, write daily devotionals, offer free conferences…anything that can spread the gospel and empower believers is our hearts’ desire. We are His evangelists. We truly love the Lord and in loving Him, we love His people. Our ongoing question and prayer: Lord, what else can we do to help? Show us the way to teach, train and lead others to become daily disciples of Jesus Christ.
